Japanese Record of straight 25 weekly sub-3s

Today I ran Kokyo Otasuke marathon around the Kokyo in Tokyo. My time was 3:27:58. As I could not achieve sub-3 today, straight weekly sub-3 in a row is ended. It's 25 straight weekly sub-3 in a row, and is Japanese record as the former record was 20 straight weeks.

It's very tough marathon today because I ran full Marathon by sub-3 10 days ago by exerting all my powers, and ran Sakura Michi (250 km) 1 week ago by exerting all my powers more. I felt that most of my leg muscles are going to be cramping up during today's race. Just 1 week after 250 km race was too short to me to get recovered.

Sakura Miti (Cherry Road) is a nickname of the road from Nagoya city in Aichi Pref. to Kanazawa city in Ishikawa Pref. This nickname originates that Mr. Sato planted ~2,000 cherry trees along this road to connect the road between Pacific ocean and the Sea of Japan with cherry trees by crossing the Japan main Island, and volunteers keep planting >2,000 cherry trees additionally along the road after he passed away. Including the surrounding areas of the road, they says that there are ~20,000 cherry trees.

Below picture is a finisher certificate which made of Japanese cypress. All of letters and figures, even my name and my time, are carved. Its thickness is 2 cm.

Below pictures are finish in the Kenrokuen in Kanazawa City in Ishikawa Pref. There is a cherry tree which Mr. Sato planted as 1,500th.
