Sakura Miti (Cherry Road) International Nature Run (250 km)

Last weekend, I ran the Sakura Miti (Cherry Road) International Nature Run from Nagoya Castle in Aichi Pref. to Kenrokuen In Ishikawa Pref. through Gifu and Toyama Pref. The distance was 250 km, and my time was 32 hours and 1 minutes. It's very very tough course with tremendous up-downs. The highest temperature during race was 30 deg.C in daytime, and the lowest temperature was ~5 deg.C in nighttime. It was very tough race.  The participant number  was 133, and 20 out of 133 were from abroad, such as Taiwan, Korea, France, Australia, Canada, Hungary, and Estonia. 82 out of 133 completed the race, so the finish rate was 61%.

Sakura Miti (Cherry Road) is a nickname of the road from Nagoya city in Aichi Pref. to Kanazawa city in Ishikawa Pref. This nickname originates that Mr. Sato planted ~2,000 cherry trees along this road to connect the road between Pacific ocean and the Sea of Japan with cherry trees by crossing the Japan main Island, and volunteers keep planting >2,000 cherry trees additionally along the road after he passed away. Including the surrounding areas of the road, they says that there are ~20,000 cherry trees.

Below picture is a finisher certificate which made of Japanese cypress. All of letters and figures, even my name and my time, are carved. Its thickness is 2 cm.
